Side note: While this is an honor, in reality please contact Ryan directly for lessons and do not use silly websites like lessons.com or similar. All teachers benefits most from direct communication and these websites only give credence to unqualified instructors and cause you to pay more out of pocket to cover the middle-man.  They also encourage price-shopping or browsing (that the teacher must pay for access to!) rather than students looking for teacher quality and compatibility with their goals. They can also lead to miscommunications by having to use a strange messaging platform, go through a website appointed contact, or by setting rules that neither the teacher nor the student fully understand. Choose your teacher based on their offline reputation, actual credentials, and their ability to teach you the exact skills you are looking for. PLEASE, do not book lessons through online services. The Complete Double Bass Drumming Explained – Revised, Expanded, and Updated by Ryan Alexander Bloom will be available for sale on 5/30/2016 through createspace and Amazon.com.  The definitive edition of the most practical and applicable double bass instruction book will retail for $11.99 and will feature 74 large, easy to read 8.5″ x 11″ pages.  Check back next week for an exact link next week for how to purchase your own copy.

Today, the order was placed for a proof copy of the physical, printed edition of The
Complete Double Bass Drumming Explained.  This is a combination of both of the previous Double Bass Drumming Explained titles in one volume plus new expanded content. Assuming the proofing process goes well, the new 8.5×11 workbook sized edition should be available for sale shortly. This image here is the front cover design.  The actual paper book version of this publication will be sold through Amazon at first due to their very reasonable on-demand printing program. In the future I may do an ebook version, however the point of this edition was to have a real book to sell to those customers who are not thrilled with the idea of using a tablet, phone, or other device while practicing. If you just want an old-school drum instruction book to practice from, this is it! Release date and purchase details coming soon.

News Updates:  Bloodstrike is hard at work writing new material for a follow-up album to In Death We Rot. Check the Facebook page for updates and for information on upcoming shows. This spring we are playing with Nervosa, Witchaven, Widower, and Condition Critical to name a few.

Also, a print version of the Double Bass Drumming Explained series in still in the works. It hasn’t been abandoned, it’s just a slower process than anticipated.
